Criminalize the Closet?

Martin Weber, a writer for the Huffington Post, posted an interesting and sensationalized article today calling for the Criminalization of the Closet, likening the experience of being “in the closet” to that of drinking and driving–activities that are innocent by nature but can have disastrous results.

Given that the tag “satire” is listed at the top of his article, it’s tough to know whether he is serious about this endeavor or not. But, what do you all think of the concept of criminalizing the closet, especially for public figures?
